Therapy

No matter how long you have been in a relationship, certain patterns or cycles can form that can become problematic for the relationship and communication you would prefer to have together. In couples therapy, I would work with you together and individually to dismantle problematic patterns and heal past and/or present wounds that might be contributing to these patterns. 

My approach is gentle and understanding acknowledging that coming to therapy, in particular couples therapy, can be a very vulnerable and uncomfortable experience. My hope is to engage you and your partner(s) in conversations that are different than the ones you are having at home and be able to hear each other in a more preferred and meaningful way.  

As a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist, I am able to help with any of, my not limited to, the following concerns:

  • Difficulties communicating, including bickering, fighting, not talking to each other

  • Feeling abandoned, alone in the relationship or let down by your partner

  • Infidelities, including affairs, internet relationships and friendships that seem a little too close

  • Blending your lives and families together, having children, and other life transitions

  • Divorce or separation, including trying to stay together or making plans for family after separation

  • Losses and grief related to the death of a parent or child or someone significant to your relationship

  • Hurtful and abusive actions, including past or current that could be impacting the relationship
